I spent years trying to find the perfect audition song for every role and show I was going in for at the detriment of my whole audition process.
I WAS FOCUSING MY ENERGY ON ALL OF THE WRONG THINGS.
I would over think, over worry and spend more time focusing on which song to sing, or even learn new material last minute.
What I should have been doing is focusing on finessing my story telling and approach I wanted to take with my already 'prepped repertoire folder'.
Once I realised this, I knew it was time to approach my singing auditions differently.
I NEEDED SONGS THAT WERE TRANSFERABLE, ENJOYABLE AND THAT REPRESENTED ME THE BEST!
